Plans for east Kent
In this section you’ll find information about plans to improve health and care services in east Kent. We are currently developing proposals for changes to hospital services. This work is in the pre-consultation stage with two options being developed in more detail before we launch a formal public consultation.
The work is led by a joint committee of the four former clinical commissioning groups in east Kent (NHS Ashford CCG, NHS Canterbury and Coastal CCG, NHS South Kent Coast CCG, and NHS Thanet CCG) and will now be taken forward by NHS Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group, which was created by merging the eight former CCGs across the county on 1 April 2020. The commissioners are working in partnership with East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust to develop the proposals. Engagement with local people has and continues to be an important part of the work.
The links below provide background to the work and ways to keep in touch and get involved.
