Below is a summary of the main engagement work that has been happening on plans to improve health and care services in east Kent, both in hospitals and from GP and other community based services.

  • Public listening events consider case for change and hurdle criteria (Jan/Feb)


  • Online survey with c.2000 replies (winter)
  • Kent and Medway Sustainability and Transformation Plan published (Oct)
  • Listen Up! mental health engagement events in local communities included east Kent case for change and system-wide local care (Sept)
  • Health-watch Red Bus Tour asks public’s health priorities (summer)
  • Focus groups test ‘thresholds of acceptability’ for change (summer)
  • East Kent case for change ‘Better health and care’ launched (spring)
  • Strategy event – Trust clinicians and divisions discuss new ways of working (spring)

This list aims to highlight that a wide range of engagement work has been underway over a number of years to develop plans for improving east Kent health services. It is not intended to be a full list of all engagement activities.
